Energiaklub
The Energiaklub was founded as a non-profit organisation in 1990. Its staff is primarily composed of economists, engineers, lawyers and teachers working in cooperation with numerous Hungarian and international partners, experts, advisors and institutions.
The Energiaklub is dedicated to the rational and clean production and use of energy, together with the search for practical answers to the pressing problems posed by climate change. The programmes of our two divisions - Climate Policy Institute and Applied Communications - focus on energy policy, climate change, energy efficiency, renewable energy, traditional energy resources and the field of transportation. Our work entails preparing policy recommendations for decision-makers, undertaking research, communication and awareness-raising campaigns and holding trainings, as well as organising conferences.
We undertake our work independently frompolitical parties and business interests with credibility and professionalism.We take a broad perspective and draw on our extensive connections amongst experts and partner organisations. One of the indicators by which we canmeasure our success is the annual growth in the number of our reports, publications and Hungarian and international programmes. Our guiding principles are clarity and transparency, as well as the search for solutions and constructive criticism. We have a direct and active relationship with energy users through our programmes.
